Overview of Services

The Hearts With A Mission Youth Shelter is located at 521 Edwards Street in West Medford. All services provided are confidential and free of charge. We provide emergency shelter for up to 72 hours —or up to 120 days with parental or guardian consent— for youth ages 10 to 17. The shelter is open and staffed by trained Life Coaches and a Case Management team 365 days a year, 24/7 – walk-ins and calls are accepted at all hours.

Shelter services are available to all eligible youth regardless of race, color, gender, national origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability. Youth from outside of Jackson County are screened on a case-by-case basis and upon bed availability. Walk-ins, drop-offs and referrals are all assessed and screened to identify needs, eligibility and appropriateness. All youth entering the shelter will be cleared by local Law Enforcement.

Hearts With A Mission provides a stable environment for youth to stabilize, stay in school, resolve conflict, learn new self-management skills, connect with safe adults and receive guidance and support while developing a safe exit plan through individual case management. Youth can choose to move towards family re-unification, alternate family living, or pursue self-sufficiency.
